India Kicks Off AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi with Global Delegates
“Starting today, India hosts the AI Impact Summit at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi,” Narendra Modi announced on the social media platform X. He added, “I warmly welcome world leaders, captains of industry, innovators, policymakers, researchers and tech enthusiasts from across the world for this Summit.”
The summit’s theme emphasizes human-centered innovation: “welfare for all, happiness for all, reflecting our shared commitment to harnessing Artificial Intelligence for human-centric progress,” Modi said.
Security has been significantly increased for the event. Reports indicate that over 10,000 police officers have been deployed at the summit venue and at key locations throughout the national capital.
Heads of state expected to attend include Emmanuel Macron of France and Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva of Brazil, among dozens of other global leaders.
The summit is set to attract a wide range of participants, including government ministers, senior officials, foreign dignitaries, representatives of international organizations, technology companies, startups, academia, and research institutions from across the globe.
